Robin Hamlin, M.D.
Dr. Robin Hamlin is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She has been in practice since 2003. A Florida Native since birth, she was inspired by her Mother and Father to pursue her dreams of becoming a surgeon.
From 1983 to 1997 she attended the University of South Florida in Tampa where she graduated from medical school. She also earned a B.S. degree in biology, with a minor in sociology. During this time Dr. Robin Hamlin volunteered at The Shriner’s Hospital in Tampa. Dr. Robin Hamlin’s plastic and reconstructive surgery interest blossomed while she was volunteering at the Shriner’s Hospital. She furthered her general surgery education at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. After completing general surgery, she moved on to Loma Linda University Medical Center where she completed her plastic surgery training. During her time at Loma Linda, she developed a new technique for nipple reconstruction. Over the years, Dr. Robin Hamlin presented her research at several regional and national meetings. During a mission trip in 2002, she performed fourteen operative procedures in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to help unfortunate children whose families were unable to afford reconstructive plastic surgery. Dr. Robin Hamlin has been involved with the Association of Women Surgeons and The American Medical Student Association. She is currently Board Certified in Plastic Surgery, and belongs to the Tampa Bay Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Robin Hamlin established her practice in 2003, offering offices in both Bradenton and St. Petersberg, Florida. Florida Coastal Plastic Surgery is a thriving practice where plastic and reconstructive surgeries are performed by Dr. Robin Hamlin. She has operating privileges at Bayfront Medical Center, Manatee Memorial Hospital, and Manatee Surgical Center.
Dr. Hamlin resides in palmetto, Florida with her husband, Joseph, and her three children, Bryce, Rayne and Braylin. Dr. Hamlin also loves mentoring future medical students and staff encouraging them to pursue a career in the field of medicine. She stays very busy with her family and growing practice. She is adored for her down to earth approach with her patients, and believes that continuing medical education is important to stay at the forefront in the forever changing world of cosmetic surgery.
